October Highlights at Shipston Lodge

This October, Shipston Lodge was buzzing with activities, music, and heartwarming moments. We kicked off the month with an incredible end-of-summer BBQ, generously sponsored by a family in memory of their loved ones.

Our residents enjoyed the last days of warmth with good food, laughter, and a sense of community that filled the air. Meanwhile, our lavender harvest brought both beauty and calm into our home, with residents crafting lovely lavender bags to add a soothing touch to their rooms.

Preparing for Remembrance Sunday at Shipston Lodge

Today, our residents poured their hearts into Wendy’s arts and crafts session, creating beautiful pieces in honour of Remembrance Sunday.

As they crafted, they shared memories of wartime, the bittersweet goodbyes, and the unforgettable joy of VE Day. It was a moving afternoon filled with reflection, creativity, and remembrance.

Honouring Our Heroes This Remembrance Day

This Remembrance Day was a day of reflection and respect as our residents gathered to watch the Remembrance Parade, each of them touched by the memories it evoked.

Mike, one of our residents, expressed the true honour it was to lay a poppy wreath in memory of the brave men and women who sacrificed so much.

It was a deeply moving tribute, with everyone united in gratitude and remembrance, sharing stories and personal memories that brought us all closer together.

A Seaside Adventure with Professor Collywobbles!

We had an absolute blast when the incredibly talented Professor Collywobbles brought all the fun, laughter, and music of the seaside right to our home! It felt like a joyful trip back to our childhood, and everyone had a fabulous afternoon filled with smiles and memories.

The fun doesn’t stop here—Professor Collywobbles will be back to entertain the children of Shipston at our Christmas Festival on 30th November! Oh No, he isn’t… OH YES, HE IS!
