Our wonderful local Warwickshire community

Shipston Lodge, proud to offer expert nursing care to the people of Shipston-on-Stour and beyond.

Here at Shipston Lodge Nursing Home, we love being part of the thriving market town of Shipston-on-Stour – but our community stretches much further than this, as we’re lucky to have some wonderful places on our doorstep.

Not only is Shipston-on-Stour the best place to live in the Midlands, but we are surrounded by places of interest, including Hidcote, Batsford Arboretum, Compton Verney, Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – we touched on some of these in our article on our five favourite days out under 30 minutes away.

Whether you live right here in Shipston-on-Stour, elsewhere in Warwickshire such as Stratford-upon-Avon, over the border into Worcestershire in Broadway, in Gloucestershire’s idyllic towns of Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh, or in Oxfordshire’s Chipping Norton, Banbury or Hook Norton, our nursing home isn’t far away. Why not come and say hello and have a coffee in our lovely café?

In fact, Shipston Lodge Nursing Home is in the ideal location, close to all amenities yet just a stone’s throw from beautiful countryside, and well-connected to neighbouring towns and villages by road and rail. And although many of our team members live right here in Shipston-on-Stour, care, maintenance, kitchen and management staff travel from Stratford-upon-Avon, Banbury, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Norton – and the many gorgeous villages around these towns such as Broadway and Hook Norton – to get to our state-of-the-art nursing home each day to work as part of our brilliant team.

It’s great to get involved with the villages surrounding Shipston-on-Stour when the Shipston Proms are going on, such as Tredington, Armscote, Honington, Upper Brailes, Lower Brailes, Willington, Darlingscott, Charingworth, Stretton-on-Fosse, Ebrington and Burmington. We enjoy getting out and about whenever we can here at Shipston Lodge Nursing Home, seeing the stunning countryside right here on our doorstep and taking our residents out to places they’d like to go near to Shipston-on-Stour.

We love going on day trips a little further afield too, to culturally interesting places such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Chipping Norton, Hook Norton, Broadway, Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh and Banbury; we’re so lucky that our nursing home is in this central location in the heart of the country, close to all sorts of charming towns and villages.

If you’re coming to visit us here at Shipston Lodge Nursing Home in Shipston-on-Stour, why not stop in a pretty village on your way here or way home for a little look around?
